A series of talks and workshops, chosen to compliment the exhibition and led by Costume and Fashion Historians, is scheduled for 9th, 16th, and 30th September, and there will be a paper quilling workshop with Stephanie Smart on 7th October.

The Lewes event includes free access to 13 buildings and five different bookable walks in different parts of the town’s conservation area. In addition, the Baxters Field open space has embraced the national Heritage Open Days theme of ‘Edible England’ by providing samples of autumn fruits and berries, and tours to learn about edible and poisonous plants.

There is a range of guided walks and tours, and for some, advance booking is essential.

Booking opens on 9 August and closes the day before the event.
