Do you have a story to tell about your experiences of Covid-19? If you are a front line worker, key worker, supermarket employee, or have been involved in some kind of community work during this time, the NHS at 70 ‘The Story of our Lives’ project, run by the University of Manchester would like to hear from you.
Lewes History Group member Catherine Anscombe is volunteering for this project, and has asked us to help find more interviewees.
The project has been collecting and recording stories from many different people over the past two years across the country – health professionals, patients and those with links to the NHS from its birth in 1948 to the present day.
Because this is an extraordinary time for public health, the history of the NHS and for communities across the world, the project is now focusing on people’s experiences of Covid-19. These interviews have been face to face up until the past few weeks and now, the project, because of Covid-19, is moving to telephone interviews.
Please contact the project via email firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 0161 2750560. The website nhs70.org.uk has some examples of interviews done so far. The recorded interviews will be stored in the British Library.
