Lewes History Group Members’ Trip: McBean’s Orchids, Cooksbridge – Sunday 9th November 2014, 2:00 to 3:45pm

Founded in 1879, McBean’s are specialist orchid growers, and one of the most famous names in orchid hybridization and the recipients of countless awards for Cymbidium and Odontoglossum breeding.

Our visit will give LHG members a wonderful opportunity to hear the history of McBean’s and much more, as well as seeing the Orchids at their very best – just in time for buying a special Christmas present for someone special!

More information on the McBean’s website

Venue: McBeans is just opposite The Rainbow Restaurant on the Lewes to Chailey road.

Admission is by ticket at £2.00, numbers are limited to 40.

Tickets are available for this and other LHG outings from Paul Waller (Outings Organiser) on meeting nights at The King’s Church in Lewes, by contacting him on 01323 872088, or by using the contact form below.

It is essential that you book well in advance for these trips

The outings are primarily for Lewes History Group members only, but they may purchase tickets for accompanying non-members. When possible tours will be exclusively for LHG.

All members are asked to make their own way to the venue in good time. Regrettably we are not able to to arrange transportation for these trips.
