A Lewes Archaeological Group Event
The speaker John Skelton is from the Brighton and Hove Archaeological Society, and is the director of BHAS’s excavation of the site in Ovingdean.
Over the last two years, BHAS has been excavating a 13th century manorial complex consisting of stone manor house and timber structures all bounded by earth banks. The site has proved to be very rewarding, with evidence of occupation over a much longer period.
Venue: Lecture Room, Lewes Town Hall (Fisher St entrance, lift access available)
Entry: (including tea/coffee) for members is £3/£2 for concessions.
Non-members are very welcome at £4/£3 for concessions.
FREE entry for those 18 years and under
