Industry and Arts: A Story of Lewes – 24 June to 3 July 2016, 11am-5pm

An exhibition by Artemis Arts to mark the closure of the Foundry Gallery, which had once been part of the Phoenix Iron Works.

The exhibition will feature photos, film, recordings and artefacts about the Phoenix Ironworks which were founded in 1832 by Mr Every.  They will be using material from their original Lewes Phoenix project which began in 2008. They are also hoping to collect more information during the course of the exhibition, and anyone who worked at the Phoenix or East Sussex Engineering is invited to come along and share their stories.

Venue: The Foundry Gallery, Old Market Lane Garage, 32 North Street, Lewes, BN7 2PH
