John Blair: Sussex in the Mercian Age: the Archaeology of Power, 750-850
John Blair is Professor of Medieval History and Archaeology at The Queen’s College, University of Oxford and is author of Building Anglo-Saxon England (to be published in April 2018).
The lecture draws on recent research to reconstruct the geography of government and administration in Anglo-Saxon Sussex.
This lecture will be followed at around 8.45pm by the AGM
