Lewes History Group talk: Lady Anne Pelham of Stanmer – Monday 17 August 2020, 7:15 for 7:30pm start

A Zoom Webinar for LHG Members only

Sue Berry: Lady Anne Pelham of Stanmer, Networker and Spender – the influence of the Georgian country housewife

Sue is exploring how country house estates on the South Downs in Sussex were developed and managed from the sixteenth century onwards.  Her sample of estates include Firle, Glyndebourne, Glynde and Stanmer. Some of the work will be published in a short book, hopefully this autumn. Some has already been published and the rest will be in the next couple of years.

This is our first, pilot, LHG talk delivered as a Zoom webinar, to Members only.

As well as being a talk of great interest in itself, this is an opportunity for us all to learn, in real life, about joining and running a webinar before the talk season gets going in September.

Please see our 4 August 2020 email to Members giving the Registration address. You need to click on the address to register, at least one day before  the webinar.

After registering and well before the talk, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about how to join the webinar itself.

Please join the webinar before 7:30pm

We would recommend a computer screen or an iPad as a minimum screen-size for viewing our webinars.
