If you missed this popular talk on 19 February, here is another chance to catch it – please note the new venue:
Marcus Taylor: Lewes – A Personal View
Not long before he died in 2013, local historian John Houghton of Swanborough gave a box of around 400 35mm slides to the Friends of Lewes. These were photographs he took around Lewes over the period 1970-1990. Many were taken from unusual positions and provide a fresh viewpoint on parts of the town.
200 of the most interesting slides have now been digitised and this is a chance to see about 60 of these.
Friends of Lewes Secretary Marcus Taylor will be the guide and there will be a quick-fire quiz after the interval.
Venue: Chapter House, Southover Church. Access through the church or by the path through Church End, 1, Cockshut Road.
Open to all – admission free to Friends of Lewes members, £3 for non-members.
See the Diary page for a list of forthcoming events organised by the Friends of Lewes.
